Little Rock Sales Tax Election on Sept 14th

Tax Question

Little Rock voters are voting on whether to increase their local sales tax. You can read some reasons FOR the sales tax increase, and some reasons AGAINST the sales tax increase.

Voting began on September 7th, and continues through Tuesday, September 14th.

Here’s what you’ll see on your ballot:

FOR

Adoption of a 1% local Sales and Compensating Use Tax within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, for which collections of the levy will begin on January 1, 2022 and shall cease to be levied on December 31, 2031.

AGAINST

Adoption of a 1% local Sales and Compensating Use Tax within the City of Little Rock, Arkansas for which collections of the levy will commence on January 1, 2022 and shall cease to be levied on December 31, 2031.

Tuesday, September 7th – ends Monday, September 13th at 5:00 p.m

  • 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays

  • No Saturday early voting

Election Day, September 14th

  • 7:30am to 7:30pm
